Overview

Built for searching at maximum depth. In independent tests by detectorists on specialist forums and at events, NEL Big ranks among the deepest metal detector coils available.

It responds very well to large targets, as well as small ones — from 1 g — at more than 25 cm. Use it on open fields as an additional coil for deep searching.

Where it works best
Open fields and large areas where maximum depth matters. It reaches deep-lying hoards, large objects and coins that are out of reach for the coil supplied with the metal detector. Works best as an additional coil: go over a "hunted-out" field again and recover what lies deeper.

Features

The coil is fully waterproof and submersible. The body is filled with epoxy resin and finished with a black marine-grade coating, the kind used on yachts and boats, so it can be used without a plastic coil cover. It handles medium and high ground mineralization well.
