Overview

A compact coil for sites full of iron and other metal trash. Its shape separates non-ferrous targets from iron very well.

It is light and agile, with good sensitivity to large, medium and especially small targets. Use it as an additional coil. On request, NEL can make it with a cable up to 3 m long.

How do I fit a NEL coil to a Minelab Explorer?

The NEL coil cable is thick and well insulated, so it is a little harder to pull through the lower shaft.

Gently pull the cable through the lower shaft using a piece of string.
Do not stretch the coiled section of the cable below the connector: this damage is not covered by the warranty.
Join the lower shaft to the middle shaft.
Connect the coil to the detector.
Join the middle shaft to the upper shaft behind the control box.

Because of the cable thickness, the detector will not fold down small enough to fit in the bag supplied with it.
